The Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Enterprise Week is a collaborative action of member organisations of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Board (DLRCDB), co-ordinated through the Economic De velopment Committee of the Board.

The DLRCDB was established in 2000. It is a partnership of local government, local development bodies, represenatitives of state agencies and the social partners, including the community and voluntary sectors.

Economic Development Goals for Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown (by 2012)

  • To be the premeir entrepreneurial county in the state
  • Skills and management training linked to progress in the work cycle
  • The development of sustainable communities as a result of appropriate use of living space
  • A balanced and flexible local economy
  • A 'fit for for purpose' workforce in all sectors
  • Significant reduction in the infrastructual and transportation deficits
  • A county renowned for its knowledge-based economic activities
  • A county renowned for its knowledge-based economic activities
  • Realisation of the potential of the county's marine and coastal facilities
  • Establishment of the county as a tourist desitnation in its own right
